Diversity in an ecosystem creates long term resiliency. Diversity in energy creates stability.  Now PaulosAnalysis has diversified, with a number of new clients.

The Electricity Markets & Policy Group at the Berkeley Lab is home to such global energy experts as Ryan Wiser, Chuck Goldman, and Lisa Schwartz. I'm honored to join them as an Affiliate, crafting communication strategies to enable them to reach a wider audience.

One task is promoting the Future Electric Utility Regulation series, a set of deep dive papers on "utility of the future" regulatory issues.  My article in Greentech Media explains the report on performance-based regulation (PBR).

Greentech Media is working with PA Consulting to help raise their US profile.  PA, headquartered in London, advises major utilities like Exelon, NYPA, and Hawaiian Electric.  I worked with GTM and PA to write papers on managing technology and business innovation.

Resilient Power, a project of the Clean Energy Group, promotes the use of distributed energy resources like solar+batteries to make the electric system better able to deal with natural and man-made disasters. I helped them explore new opportunities in California and with the emergency management community.

The Green Ribbon Commission is an assemblage of civic leaders in Boston, working to achieve the City's aggressive climate action plan.  With support from the Barr Foundationthey offered a prize to the institutional buyers that put together the best renewable energy procurement deal.  I evaluated the effort and wrote a case study, to be released in May.
